Kevin Wendt, CEO of The Wendt Group corporation, is a nationally known livestock, farm machinery, and real estate auctioneer with more than 40 years experience. A graduate of The Ohio State University, Wendt has extensive experience in genetics, sales, marketing, business management, real estate, advertising, public relations. Wendt graduated from the Reppert School of Auctioneering and is licensed and bonded and actively working in 26 states.
Wendt is known throughout the nation as a premier purebred livestock auctioneer, conducting more than 125 nationwide auctions each year. He is also a Broker/Auctioneer specializing in Agricultural Real Estate and Equipment Auctions, where he has conducted more than 6,000 auctions since 1986.
In 2015, Wendt was inducted into the Ohio Auctioneer Association Hall of Fame and was The Ohio State University Distinguished Alumni Award recipient. Kevin and his wife Megan, and children Riley and Ethan, reside in Dublin, Ohio and operate a small livestock and organic grain farm near Plain City, Ohio.
Kevin is currently an Instructor at The Reppert School of Auctioneering teaching classes on Marketing, Online Auctions, Bid Calling, and Livestock Auctions. Kevin is a past Ohio Auctioneer Association State Bid Calling Champion and Past President of the Association. Wendt serves as one of the Auctioneers for The Ohio State Fair Sale of Champions. Wendt is the past Vice-Chairman of the Ohio Auction Commission and serves as co-director of the Ohio State Fair Swine Barn.
Wendt and his team were pioneers in the online auction industry conducting the first ever online auction for show pigs in 2004. Since that time, The Wendt Group has sold over 12,000 online only auctions of pigs, cattle, horses, goats and equipment.
